2021.10.27 10:37 devlishboot463 Amp Suggestions?

-I live in Canada.
-my budget is 800-1000 CAD (643-804 USD). Although I would like to stay under 900 CAD...
-I want a good clean tube amp that's great for pedals, I play math rock in a band as well. Built in reverb would be great!
-15W - 50W would be great.
-Combos are probably the most realistic as I haven't seen a good hear and cab under my budget
I've been looking at blues juniors, I have played them before and they're really good but I think something louder would be better for shows etc. I also saw the vox ac15c1 it looks good as well. In most YouTube videos I've watched I haven't really liked the tone but I haven't actually played it and messed around with the knobs found a good tone etc.
Used is also a good option, I've seen one of those blues Devilles go for 500 which was really nice. Any suggestions would be great.

2021.10.27 10:37 physicsking Trading Post suggestions

In addition to the other corrections that many people have already mentioned in the training post like sorting, categories in the sell menu, and other things, I think it would be worth it to see the name and level of the seller. This would help a lot of people sort out the gold farmers and not buy from them.
Additionally I don't know how hard it would be to implement but turning the trading post into an actual auction house could help benefit players a lot as well.

2021.10.27 10:37 shameless_caps How to automatically run something when disk hits a certain usage%?

I have a postgres DB which my users sometimes erroneously spam data into. When this happens, the disk fills up very rapidly and when reaches 100%, the db crashes.
I want to implement a failsafe of sorts, which will constantly monitor the disk and if it goes from say 90% to 95% in under a minute, or hits 99% at all, turn the DB into readonly mode.
Ideally I would want some sort of api which triggers when the disk fills up but failing that, I need the best way to keep checking very frequently.
I would use cron but once a minute is not fast enough. I could write a systemd service which runs a script that loops sleep for 5 seconds and checks again.
What is the best way to trigger an action on disk percent? Or what is the best way to do what I am trying to do?

2021.10.27 10:37 PointMeAtTheSky_ How I got diagnosed at 35

Apologies in advance for the very, very long post. TL;DR - How I got diagnosed with autism as an adult.
I've been lurking around here for a few months now, and I've noticed more than a few people asking about getting diagnosed as an adult. I recently completed this process without any guidance and wanted to share the experience in hopes that it will help someone who is interested in getting diagnosed. For context, I am a 35 year old male, and I have major social and sensory issues - to the point that I haven't really left my house much in the last five years. There's way more to it than that, but it's too much to explain here. I'm not really able to drive myself or go in public alone, but I am happily married and have a fairly stable IT job working from home (all credited to masking that has essentially broken my brain). Before this all began, I had never met with a mental health professional of any kind in my life (I don't go to doctors, generally. I mostly pursued diagnosis for self-validation, but I am also interested in meeting with a therapist who specializes in ASD.
Step 1: I met with a new PCP back in July (scheduled appointment online). I told him that I don't leave the house much and have severe anxiety. I mentioned that I strongly believe I am on the spectrum, and he was dismissive of this. He said, "See, this is why I hate that they call it a spectrum." He didn't elaborate, and I did not ask questions because of how I am. The statement was pretty absurd, but he still gave me the referral that I needed to meet with a psychiatrist. PCP also prescribed Celexa, 10mg, during this meeting, and he wrote "anxiety" and "possibly agoraphobic" in the notes for the visit.
Step 2: Met with the psychiatrist a month later. Expressed my concerns - he was dismissive in a different way. Specifically, he was saying that there isn't much of a point in spending so much money on the assessment because his goal is only to treat the symptoms (this meant more medication, unfortunately). He prescribed a sleep aid and told me to continue taking the Celexa. I wanted to freeze up in this situation and leave it at that, but I held my ground and pushed for the assessment. He referred me to a specialist nearby that could do the testing.
Step 3a: In late September and early October, I met with a neuropsychologist. She is absolutely awesome. Our first meeting was just an interview (this lasted a little over an hour). I mostly addressed my concerns and answered some questions. Some of them were very personal, but she made this very easy for me. I can go into more detail if requested, but I honestly don't remember most of the questions. It felt very natural - more like a conversation.
Afterward, she emailed a very long survey/questionnaire for myself and my wife to complete. This was a little difficult for me to finish, but it wasn't too bad. The questions were mostly closed-ended (yes or no, true or false), but there was almost always a place for me to add notes/comments. I answered several questions with "I do not understand this question."
Step 3b: Assessment. I did five or six tests here. Let's see if I can remember them all.

  1. First, I had to click a button if I saw or heard the number "1" on a laptop. I blew this completely because I can't stop clicking once I start. You shouldn't click if you see or hear the number "2," but I clicked a whole bunch of 'em.
  2. Second test, I was shown a bunch of pictures. I was then shown the same pictures again with pictures that I hadn't seen. I was asked which ones I had seen already. I got 50/50, and then they did the test again immediately after. Same score. We came back to this test later.
  3. Third test was about 200 questions on the laptop. In the middle of this, the tester returned the room and showed me the pictures again. I still got all 50 correct. This was testing my retention, I guess. My sister-in-law (a psychologist) later said that this test is actually meant to be very easy to determine if I was exaggerating my condition. Anyway, I finished the questions after that.
  4. Fourth test was drawing lines to randomly scattered numbers and letters. I can't really explain this very well in text, but I did not do well on this.
  5. The fifth test was a 50-question survey (all questions Strongly Disagree - Strongly Agree type answers). All of these questions were directly related to symptoms of autism.
  6. Sixth test is another tough one to explain. There are four keys in front of me - one green triangle, one blue circle, three yellow diamonds, and some other pattern that I forget. Basically, they would show some combination on the screen (for instance, maybe three blue circles), and I had to figure out which key corresponded with that group. The rules changed constantly, and I had to figure out what the new rule was. I did okay on this.
That's all I can remember from the testing. I think it took 3-4 hours total.
Step 4: Met with the neuropsychologist again on Monday (10/25) of this week. We went over everything, and she said that her diagnosis was GAD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This appointment lasted about one hour. She explained my next steps with finding a therapist and showed me a breathing exercise. She gave me her card and encouraged me to reach out if I needed assistance with anything else. She encouraged me to send her a list of therapists in my network, and she said she can make a recommendation based on that. This was a very positive experience (the rest of these meetings were all incredibly stressful, mostly because I was out of the house and having a hard time with it).
Worst things about the experience: Leaving home, communicating in an honest way, dealing with dismissive providers, I was very afraid of receiving an autism diagnosis in the beginning
Best thing about the experience: I can't stress this enough - I finally feel like I'm not a bad or weak person for struggling. The neuropsychologist was awesome and made me realize that an ASD diagnosis wasn't a "bad" thing. In fact, it's only beneficial. So many things that I was trying to figure out for over 30 years were explained in a matter of months. I'm just replaying my life and finally answering millions of questions that have never made sense to me.
I hope that wasn't too long and at least one person finds it useful. Keep in mind, this process will likely not be identical for everyone (seems to vary by location). I also got really lucky that someone was available in my area who could even do the testing. In total, I probably spent a little over $1000 (this is with insurance in the US). The PCP visit was covered, I paid $272 for the psychiatrist visit, and about $650 (not billed yet) for the testing. I also had to pay for transportation to and from visits. I'm so lucky to be in a position to set cash aside for all of this, and I'm very lucky to have the support system that I have.

2021.10.27 10:37 heppyscrub No response from ALD Online Support?

So UPS lost my package about three weeks ago and I contacted ALD to get this fixed.
I haven't received a response from them since I submitted the ticket. Is this normal? I never had this happen before, they would usually get back to me around 24-48 hours but I'm not getting shit from them. I'm trying to get my money back and this is a pain in the ass.
Anyone know another way to get in contact with them?
